Job Description

The Application Engineer is a key contributor to the development, implementation and validation of applications and machines that enhance the overall customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role will be pivotal in translating customer needs into innovative technical solutions that contribute to the differentiation and competitiveness of TOMRA's products and services.

Qualifications

  1. Relevant Tertiary Degree (Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Science or Similar) or a Diploma/Certificate in a Technical or Engineering field with extensive relevant industry experience
  2. Experience in product management, project management or product development
  3. Experience in the food industry or any other industry engaged in sensor technology would be advantageous
  4. Experience in testing and validation of software and hardware solutions
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication
  6. Demonstrated technical skills (mechanical, electrical/electronics, software, networking and controls or similar) in at least one area
  7. Ability to build positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders
  8. Exposure to project management work and methodologies
  9. Basic analytical skills for producing information mainly from business systems, Advanced skills preferred
  10. Attention to detail, analytical, dedicated, flexible and able to work autonomously
