POSITION: Yardman, Full-Time

LOCATION: Tauranga Branch

RESPONSIBILITIES: As our workload expands, we are looking for a hardworking and reliable Yardman to join our Tauranga Branch. The ideal candidate will be energetic, safety-conscious, and possess a 'can-do' attitude. This role involves maintaining the yard's organization, ensuring all materials and equipment are stored correctly, and operating forklifts for various tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Operating forklifts safely and efficiently (Forklift licence required).
  2. Opening and closing the yard each morning and evening.
  3. Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials.
  4. General yard maintenance, including cleaning and organizing.
  5. Occasional cleaning of the office spaces.
  6. Supporting the team with general labour tasks as needed.

Quality, efficiency, and safety are paramount in this role. A hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  1. Strongly safety conscious.
  2. Possession of a full Class 2 license and a valid forklift licence.
  3. Ability to work effectively in a team.
  4. Strong organizational skills and reliability.
  5. Drug-free with the ability to pass random drug tests.
