Our award-winning consulting team delivers solutions at the cutting edge of technology and now seek an astute and driven Oracle Cloud Financial Applications Lead or Solution Architect to join us in this newly created role in either Auckland or Wellington base locations.

Your role will focus on utilising your skills and experience in Oracle Financials ERP and applying that to Oracle Cloud/SaaS implementations with clients from various industries and sizes nationwide, therefore an ability to travel is a must.

As an Oracle Financial Applications Lead / Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing ERP solutions that align with business needs and goals. Your role will involve performing business process analysis, defining system requirements, and ensuring the successful integration and implementation of ERP systems.

In general, you will be expected to:

During Sales – develop proposed solutions to meet client's objectives, including:

  • Understanding opportunity scope, key dependencies, and risks
  • Proposing high-level solutions and benefits/outcomes definitions that align to client objective/goals.
  • Write professional level proposal material to address tender requirements.
  • Contribute significantly to project planning / deployment approach ensuring solution complexity, inter-dependencies and risks are adequately represented.
  • Preparing accurate delivery estimates
  • Lead demonstrations during client presentations & orals

During Delivery

  • Architect end-to-end solutions leveraging various Oracle Cloud modules including designing data flow between Oracle Cloud, on-premises, and other involved applications
  • Provide solution architecture and design guidance to the implementation team.
  • Lead the solution design activities and ensuring that the solutions are fit for purpose to meet our clients strategic, financial, and operational objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including developers and functional consultants
  • Review technical team's work, ensuring adherence to industry-leading practices
  • Participate in project meetings and status meetings, providing leadership and guidance to a team of functional and technical consultants on and near/off shore.
  • Influence the right outcomes whilst engaging with project stakeholders of all levels, and actively identifying risks and issues with appropriate escalation channels to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Manage users and stakeholder expectations, owning change management issues and escalating as required to appropriate channels to ensure full user adoption.
  • Mentor, coach, and train consultants by sharing solution and technical expertise
Qualifications

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

  • 10+ years' experience as an Oracle ERP Financials Consultant with hands on configuration skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP implementations or Oracle Cloud certifications would be highly beneficial. Other Cloud SaaS experience on other platforms such as NetSuite, SAP S/4 HANA, Dynamics 365, Workday etc. will be considered as will experience in Oracle EBS ERP.
  • Delivered on at least 5 full cycle ERP programmes, ideally greenfield implementations.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Expert knowledge of best practice Finance and Accounting Business Processes and a willingness to own change management issues.
  • Fluent (close to native level) of English language skills is a must, both written and spoken, as is the ability to engage a range of users up to CxO level.
  • Experience as an Accountant and/or Controller with a Chartered Accountant or similar qualification would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong leadership qualities, including building and motivating teams and organisational development skills. Project Management experience and qualifications will be helpful but not essential.
