You will be the first line of defence in the fight against pests, using your expertise to solve customer problems and provide top-notch service. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic working environment and take pride in delivering excellent service and customer care.

Location: Whangārei branch, servicing clients in the wider Northland area from Kaiwaka to Kaitaia and coast to coast in between.
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Occasional overnight stays for longer trips, weekend work or early/late shifts depending on customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload the service vehicle effectively to complete daily assignments.
  • Conduct inspections of customer premises to identify signs of pest infestations.
  • Implement effective pest control measures and advise customers on prevention techniques.
  • Address hygiene risks and client concerns to enhance work environments.
  • Complete service reports to document services performed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanour at all times.
  • Stay aware of client needs and identify opportunities to improve service standards.

Requirements:

  • Eligible to work full-time in New Zealand.
  • Full NZ driver's licence with a clean driving record and manual driving ability is mandatory.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Excellent customer service to build upon client relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on ladders.
  • Able to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Able to work independently in the field and manage time efficiently.
  • Willingness to drive long distances and stay away from home if required.
  • High attention to detail to maintain high standards and achieve set targets.
  • Confident using a mobile phone service app and devices.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

  • Knowledge of pest control methods and regulations.
  • Working at Heights and EWP licences and experience.
  • Firearm handling skills and a licence.

Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment assessment, including medical, reference, and criminal background checks, meeting Rentokil Initial's satisfactory criteria.
