The Story
As part of a large-scale transformation programme, we are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a high-performing team delivering modern, scalable banking solutions. This is not a high-level advisory role—our architects are hands-on, working closely with engineering teams to define, build, and evolve core banking and payment platforms.
Over the next 12–18 months, the focus is on significant system enhancements and modernisation, requiring deep expertise in banking integrations, payments, and API-driven architecture.

Your Role
As a Solution Architect, you'll be responsible for designing and evolving key banking systems, ensuring seamless integration between legacy and modern platforms. You'll work hands-on with engineering teams to implement domain-driven design principles, develop API-first solutions, and support a major migration effort. Your role will cover two main focus areas:
1. Cards and Payments
  • Deep knowledge of credit and debit card platforms, schemes, and transactions.
  • Experience integrating with payments systems (money in/money out).
  • End-to-end lifecycle management, including creation, updates, and maintenance.
  • Supporting a full migration effort from legacy systems to modern architectures.
2. Core Banking Systems & Integration
  • Strong understanding of banking account systems and transaction processing.
  • Designing APIs and streaming architectures for core banking products.
  • Expertise in domain-driven design, microservices, and modular architectures.
  • Experience with event-driven and asynchronous patterns.
Technical Environment
  • Technology agnostic background
  • API-driven architecture and integration-led solutions
  • Domain-driven design principles
  • Frontend as a façade layer, with evolving backend architecture
  • Deep involvement in engineering practices and solution delivery
