TR Group specialises in the rental, lease and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles. We focus on optimising fleet performance and helping our customers operate as safely, efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
We're looking for a dedicated Used Vehicle Sales person to join our Used Vehicle team in our Palmerston North branch. The purpose of our Used Vehicle Sales team is to re-home our lease and rental vehicles once they reach the end of their lease term or are replaced in the rental fleet. Operating under a retail sales model, our Used Vehicle Sales team ensures these vehicles find the right owners while maintaining our high standards of quality and reliability.
This role is varied and includes keeping an eye on market trends, generating leads, responding to enquiries and working closely with our nationwide team to find the best solutions for our customers. Success in this role isn't just about selling vehicles - it's about building lasting relationships, understanding customer needs and becoming a trusted partner in their fleet journey. This role would suit a passionate and experienced salesperson with a knack for selling used vehicles and creating strong customer connections.
About the role:- Building Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers across the lower North Island through regular visits, proactive communication and a deep understanding of their needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Vehicle Disposition: Collaborate with the team to collectively make decisions on how to efficiently dispose of vehicles, maximising returns.
- Prospect Finding: Identify and approach new prospects by cold calling, conducting customer visits, making phone calls, and networking to expand our customer base.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for our customers. Respond to inquiries received through our website, social media platforms, in person and via phone promptly and professionally.
- Asset Documentation: Take ownership of ensuring that vehicle assets are promptly photographed to aid in the pricing process, working in conjunction with our Used Vehicle National Fleet Coordinator.
- Be a directory for the current sales fleet - sound knowledge of what Used Vehicles are available and where they are located within the country at any one time.
- Assisting with appropriate platforms to help market and advertise our used vehicle fleet. Ensure all listings are accurate and up to date to attract potential buyers.
- Proven experience in vehicle sales, with a strong track record of success.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the used vehicle market and industry trends.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
