As a Category Manager for Corporate Services & Assets, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and drive the procurement strategy for a critical category within our organization. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing innovative procurement solutions that deliver value, enhance performance, and align with our strategic ESG outcomes. This role offers the chance to lead end-to-end procurement activities, collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, and establish a strong network within the Workplace Assets & Experience team. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring that contracts are effectively managed, supplier performance is optimized, and the category remains compliant with all relevant policies and regulations.

The Procurement function at Beca is undergoing an important transformation to be future-fit for the growth we will experience over the coming decade. We are calling this transformation "Better Buying at Beca 2025", which this role will be a critical enabler of. In this role, you will be the go-to expert on market conditions, trends, and supply chain health for the Corporate Services & Assets category. You will work closely with the wider Procurement Team to ensure that procurement practices are consistent, connected, and customer-centric across all Beca and Client-related activities. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, you will identify and address enterprise-level risks and opportunities, contributing to the overall success of our procurement function – being the go-to procurement team member for your category. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support bid responses related to supply chains, social procurement, supplier diversity, and modern-day slavery, ensuring that our procurement practices reflect our commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing.

As a Category Manager within the Corporate Services & Assets category, you will develop, implement, and manage a Category Strategy that drives performance, value-for-money, and achievement of ESG outcomes important to Beca and our Clients. You will lead and manage end-to-end procurement activities within the category, using the Buying Team for support where required. Establishing a strong network and fostering collaboration with internal customers, key stakeholders, and team members within the Workplace Assets & Experience team will be essential.

You will take the lead on negotiations, support Beca on contract and supplier performance/relationship management, and be the go-to contact on driving value for your category. You will be the centre of expertise for Beca on market conditions, trends, and supply chain health for the category and will work with the wider Procurement Team to ensure procurement practice is consistent, connected, and customer-centric across all Beca and Client-related activities.
