About the job:

As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for collaborating closely with the General Manager and project teams across a variety of projects of different sizes. This role involves providing comprehensive support in project estimation, including budgeting, cost analysis, and resource allocation managing the contract from commencement through to completion.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

Evaluate and price measuring documents
Obtain quotes from suppliers for materials
Calculate material rates
Conduct contract negotiations with clients and contractors
Audit invoices, process variations, client progress claims, subcontractor progress payments, and manage financial tracking/reporting and supplier payments
Administer general contracts, including document control
Supervise staff as needed
Develop project programming
Ensure quality assurance standards are met
Resolve disputes between contracting parties
Attend site visits, engage with subcontractors, and liaise with clients

What you will need to be successful in the role:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification. Preferably BSc Quantity Surveying
Experience in construction/building/project work
Estimation experience, approximately five years plus as construction Estimator dealing across Civil Construction
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills - sound facilitation and negotiation skills
Sound commercial judgement, with ability to apply quality management principles
Ability to understand broader organisational perspective
