We have an opportunity for a keen operator to join the Melters team on a 6-month fixed term basis.
While working within a hot environment you will be responsible for the continuity of operations in the production of metal and slag, together with general housekeeping duties as directed.
You will need to enjoy working autonomously within a fast-paced environment and team and be able to adapt to change with ease, you will thrive under pressure.
This is a shift position with the regular hours being 42 hours per week (12 hour / 4 shift rotating pattern) however to ensure that operational requirements are met you may be required to work additional hours when needed.
What you will bring to the role
We are looking for people who can manage their time efficiently, have good spatial awareness and can work as part of a wider team.
You will need to demonstrate a commitment to teamwork along with a willingness to positively contribute to a diverse and inclusive work environment and have an uncompromising attitude towards health and safety.
A good level of physical fitness is a requirement for this role.Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or working in the Melter's is advantageous.
