Courier Driver

We are currently looking for a Courier Driver to join us. You must be committed and reliable and have a Clean and current Driver's license. Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. You should be hard working, energetic and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results for our customers.
It's a Permanent Full-Time position with a minimum of guaranteed 30 hours of work per week

Days Required:
Monday to Sunday (flexible hours)

Hourly rate:
Between $24.00- $25.00 per hour. Location of Work would be Within Auckland Region.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
Delivering mail, parcels, documents and other items to customers' premises and mailboxes
Sorting and sequencing items for delivery
Receiving orders for deliveries from customers
Check the condition of the load and that it is secure
Ensuring goods are secured correctly and removed safely
Inspecting goods for damage and complete incident reports
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Keeping records of items received and delivered
Maintaining logs and other delivery records
Loading and unloading mail conveyances and internal mail handling equipment
Assisting with receipting inward mail, checking wrongly addressed, missorted, undelivered and redirected mail, and processing freepost and underpaid mail
Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip - including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards
Ensure vehicle is kept clean and tidy and carry out minor maintenance
Report defects, accidents, or violations - immediately report the instance to the Manager.
Always follow health and Safety operation during driving & Complying with all traffic laws at all times

Clean and current Driver's license
Flexible Work Availability as there will be early morning start, and you may be required to work during weekends if and when required
Being physically fit (there may be some heavy lifting)
Work in conditions that may be stressful, including poor weather and Heavy Traffic
Mechanically minded would be an advantage
Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong results-focused work ethic
Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
Strong Health & Safety focus & adherence to all H&S procedures
Willingness to follow standard operating procedures
Committed and reliable
Pass the drug test
No criminal records
