About the Role:

You will be responsible for the end-to-end weekly payroll for up to 700 employees.

You will proactively troubleshoot, implement changes, action audit checks and suggest improvements and work to share your knowledge in a busy team environment ensuring all processes are fully documented and always audited.

The team and organisation need an efficient, driven, proactive Payroll Specialist who is forward thinking, innovative, takes an interest and pride in their work, applies high integrity and exceptional attention to detail and who can be trusted to get payroll right the first time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the endtoend payroll function
  • Support the administration of the payroll data
  • Analyse payroll data including wages, salaries and bonuses
  • Support the Payroll Team Leader in documenting processes
  • Perform payroll maintenance and ensure data is accurate
  • Ensure employee files are up to date
  • File employee/ payroll documentation electronically

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 2+ years Payroll experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Payroll statutory requirements in New Zealand
  • Methodical and well organised work habits
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of all the legislation's relating to payroll, including but not limited to, Holidays Act 2003, Wages Protection Act, Parental Leave Act, Kiwisaver Act
  • The ability to selfmanage your workload to meet deadlines.
