Your Opportunity

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team at our Auckland branch.

This position will be instrumental in encouraging good working relationships between dispatch and drivers and is responsible for the delivery of service excellence in freight forwarding.

The key accountabilities in this role include optimising and improving asset (Vehicle) productivity; managing resources to maximise business performance and exceeding customer expectations by ensuring excellent business relationships.


Additionally you will be involved in the efficient dispatching of our trucks -ensuring the delivery of all inbound containers and the pick-up of all outbound containers in a timely and cost effective manner.

You will have a good knowledge of international shipping requirements to avoid container detention and demurrage, along with the ability to effectively manage the truck fleet to maximize utilization, minimize downtime, and eliminate non-productive road moves.

Your 'can do' attitude along with your positive work ethic will ensure your success in this role. Additionally you will take pride in your work and always work towards continuous performance for yourself and your team.

What you'll bring to this role

To be successful in this role, you could have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the transport industry, with relevant dispatch experience
  • An ability to positively influence the people you work with
  • Ensure the presentation of Vehicles/Gear and Drivers
  • Knowledge of transport costs, transport revenues and resource management
  • Proven excellence in customer service delivery
  • Commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Work effectively both as part of a team and individually
  • Excellent communication skills are essential as we require a high level of communication with our internal and external customers
