Our North Shore Toyota and North West Toyota Service teams need Qualified Service Technicians as our businesses grow.

In this role, you'll be part of our high performing Service team; one that puts employee and customer experience at the heart of everything that we do.


It's an exciting time to join Toyota as a Tech - we have an exciting record with hybrid vehicles (HEVs and PHEVs), and we're just about to launch our first full electric vehicle (BEV).

Toyota also has a lot of input into hydrogen vehicles (both road and water).

If you join us, your training and development, will ensure you stay at the top of your game and our industry's trends.


As a Technician, you are in one of the most important roles we have - you keep our customers safe in their beautiful Toyota vehicles (plus some other great Japanese brands too).


A usual day looks like this:

  • Servicing and maintaining customer and dealership vehicles new and used
  • Challenging and varied repair work
  • Diagnostic work our large range of vehicles with factor backing, means that the issues some of our customers face are not cookiecutter your thinking and learning will always be challenged
  • Issuing Warrants of Fitness (if you are certified)
  • Undertaking regular and futurefocused technical training so that your skills and knowledge stay sharp
  • Identifying customer needs (that they might not even be aware of), and working with our Service Advisor team to solve those needs for the customer


Our teams all work closely together, so an important part of this role is building and fostering good relationships with your colleagues - which is easy enough with this friendly bunch.

We also pride ourselves on putting our people and their wellbeing first - and one of the ways we do this in our North Shore workshop is having our Techs working 4 days weeks (10 hour days).

Skills & Experience

  • Be a qualified Technician so that you can work independently
  • Be certified to issue Warrants of Fitness (preferable)
  • Have a proven track record of automotive service and repairs
  • Be familiar with modern diagnostic procedures and equipment
  • Be able to build good relationships with your colleagues
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Enjoy working with customers to understand their needs
  • Be a good team player and have a warm and positive mindset.
  • Have a full and clean driver's license
Experience with Toyota products is ideal, but no stress if you don't, we'll teach you the Toyota way.
