Integrated Safety Response (ISR) is a multi-agency initiative ensuring families experiencing family violence get the help they need from Government and community services.

ISR involves core agencies closely working together to support victims, perpetrators and their families. ISR operates in two sites, Christchurch and Hamilton.


Police is the operational lead and hosting agency for ISR, as part of Te Puna Aonui - the Joint Venture for Family Violence and Sexual Violence.


ISR operates seven days a week, so flexibility is required as you may be required to work some weekends and statutory holidays.


As an Integrated Safety Response Coordinator - Family Harm you will be responsible for leading and influencing appropriate multi agency information sharing, risk assessment and connecting families and whanau experiencing family harm to effective services through the facilitation of Safety Assessment Meetings and Intensive Case Management Meetings.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Review and Triage all episodes of Family Harm received via Police, Corrections, and partner agencies.
  • Facilitate Multi Agency Safety Assessment Meetings and Intensive Case Management Meetings.
  • Ensure a balanced allocation of work to Service Providers based on the needs of families and whanau.
  • Review and Monitor process of cases
  • Lead and influence appropriate information sharing to ensure whanau safety.
  • Liaise with Partner Agencies as appropriate to ensure accurate information sharing and progress of Family Safety Plans.

Utu ā-tau | Salary


This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $87,401 and $101,687 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
