What you'll do:

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing complex cloud architectures within Azure.

Your role will involve deep understanding of advanced networking concepts including hybrid network design, optimisation, troubleshooting as well as high-level security knowledge.

You will be proficient in diagnosing tier 3 level issues requiring innovative problem-solving approaches. Your strong skills in automation and scripting will streamline system deployments, updates, and routine maintenance tasks. You will also play a lead role in any Azure cloud migration projects.

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced Azure cloud solutions, ensuring seamless integration with onpremises infrastructure
  • Act as a primary resource for tier 3 support in ISD, handling complex and highimpact issues that require deep technical expertise
  • Develop and maintain highlevel network architectures, ensuring robust connectivity, security, and performance between cloud and onprem environments
  • Design and implement comprehensive security measures, ensuring the protection of data and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve complex system and network issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Automate routine and complex tasks to improve efficiency and reliability of cloud and onpremises systems
  • Collaborate closely with ISD teams, developers, and business stakeholders to align cloud solutions with organisational goals and operational requirements
  • Mentor junior ISD engineers and team members, providing guidance and expertise in cloud technologies and best practices

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role (5+ years)
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (Azure)
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices

Beneficial experience:

  • Knowledge of networking concepts
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell or Bash)
  • Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Azure Solutions Architect Certification is a plus
