Core Responsibilities:

  • Customer service management inside the store and online
  • Ensure the store meets profit targets and operates in an efficient manner
  • Improve purchasing and marketing policies
  • Management of store product mix, merchandising and advertising material
  • Daily communication to the Senior Management
  • Regular reporting to Senior Management
  • Management of internal controls and security
  • Management of inventory including (stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance)
  • Ensure store budget is in line with forecasting per finance team
  • Management of store banking and cash handling. Investigate shift discrepancies.
  • Ensuring staff rosters are planned in advance in a timely manner.
  • Management training function for new team members
  • Daily communication and correspondence with the suppliers
  • Responsible for the food control management of each location including food safety and hygiene.
  • Developing strategies to promote the business
  • Formulating & implementing purchasing & marketing policies
  • Setting prices & service standards
  • Management of customer complaints in an efficient manner
  • Position will require weekend work as well as evening shifts and night shifts when required
  • Public holidays and some split shifts (Hence, flexibility is the important)
  • Preferable related or relevant Retail/ Customer Service or similar role work experience of 23 years is desirable.
  • Relevant formal qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of Grocery (Indian & Asian) is desirable
  • Strong problemsolving skills

Salary:
$30.00 per hour

  • Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- atleast 2 years (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Overnight Shift (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (required)
