The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced steel fixers to join the team on the Central Interceptor Project.**Reporting to the Supervisor you will assist with the day to day construction activities for the Central Interceptor Project.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform day to day construction activities
  • Keeping the supervisor informed of construction status/challenges
  • Operate construction plant/equipment safely
  • Working with plant & equipment
  • Assist with checking of equipment to ensure they are safe for use
  • Read and interpret detailed plans
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, and fitting welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be meshreinforced
  • Fixing mesh and reinforcing steel into position in formwork for concrete pours
years of labouring experience

  • Experience working on civil infrastructure projects
  • Experience as a steel fixer: cutting, tying, inserting ground beams, constructing columns and other forms, cagemaking etc
  • Positive and proactive approach towards team work
  • Safety awareness
  • Construct Safe Level 1 is ideal but not essential we will provide training
