Our client is a national company working across multi-disciplinary technical solutions, building and asset services organisation.

They are a global leader in their industry and are looking for a Payroll Specialist to work part time 24 hours a week in a permanent ongoing role.

As the Part-Time Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing and managing the company's payroll using the iChris/ChrisPay/Kronos systems.


You will ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all payroll-related records are maintained in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.


  • Processing payroll accurately and timely, including gathering and reviewing timesheets and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and national regulations.
  • Maintaining payrollrelated records and ensuring data accuracy, including employee information, time and attendance, tax and benefit deductions, and other related information.
  • Collaborating with HR and other teams to ensure that employee information is uptodate and accurate in the iChris system.
  • Responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, including tax withholdings, deductions, and other related matters.
  • Preparing payroll reports and reconciling payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensuring compliance with NZ specific and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll processing,
  • Working knowledge of interpretating EAs and statutory requirements
  • Working knowledge of iChris/ChrisPay/Kronos systems (or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Knowledge of NZ specific and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Permanent Part-time details:

  • Parttime, 25 hours per week
  • Monday through Thursday, working week
  • Payroll is processed weekly and monthly for our client
