The opportunity:
As a Reinsurance Analyst you will be providing invaluable support to our Reinsurance/Actuarial department and the wider business.

Playing a crucial role in financial and statistical reporting, data transformation, and analysis, contributing to the profitability and effectiveness of AIA.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilising software to extract policy or claims data, calculate premiums, and manage claims recoveries with reinsurers
  • Extracting and validating data from various systems, ensuring its accuracy and timely delivery to relevant stakeholders
  • Utilising advanced software and developing streamlined processes to reengineer the current process, extract, and analyse data and produce essential reports. Providing insights to aid financial decisionmaking.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurers, ensuring smooth premium payments and recoveries
  • Collaborating seamlessly with other Actuarial teams and supporting the overall business operations.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Technical proficiency in SQL and MS Excel, enabling you to handle complex data and analysis tasks. SAP experience will be highly regarded. Exposure to python will also be useful, otherwise there will be opportunity to develop this skill set in the role
  • Strong written and oral communication skills will be essential for effective collaboration with various stakeholders
  • The ability to think independently and solve problems, contributing to innovative and effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain deep relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Selfmotivation and effective time management skills, ensuring you balance stakeholder requests efficiently and deliver highquality outcomes
  • A passion for continuous learning and a keen interest in grasping new concepts, contributing to your personal and professional growth
  • Previous experience in Reinsurance or Insurance is preferred, offering valuable insights into the unique challenges of our industry.
