The opportunity


Unitec is currently recruiting for a
casual Technician to join our science laboratories
. The main responsibility for this role is to assist our technical team with practical activities, including lab setup, pack-down after the lab session, and maintaining the Science laboratory environment.

You will also contribute to assisting the technical team with chemical and asset management.

About you

You'll have:

  • An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Have strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexible working arrangements and available to be on campus when assistance is required.
  • A valid driver's licence (restricted or full).
