The Refugee Orientation Centre Trust helps former refugees integrate well into the community through educational programs. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated graphic design volunteer to help design flyers, brochures, and our quarterly newsletter to promote our programs.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with an impeccable sense of design who is motivated to contribute their time to make a difference to the lives of our refugee communities and at the same time build their portfolio. Previous experience in graphic design, communications, marketing, public relations and/or social media is preferred but not necessary.

This role will require you to:

  • Design and update content for the site, newsletters, and social media
  • Collaborate with program coordinators to develop or refine designs
  • Adapt and enhance existing brand design standards, such as icons, images, and other components
  • Ensure alignment with creative and marketing objectives on all projects; ensure consistency across all media
  • Bring visual creativity and innovation to campaigns and projects

  • A good grasp of the Creative Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Time commitment:

A minimum of 5 hours a week but this can be discussed around your schedule.
