We currently have an opportunity for an
Event Supervisor to join the team and support our growing Auckland events team in the delivery of successful events on the ground at Auckland Stadiums & Auckland Live venues, working in this role can be a stepping stone to being an Event Operations Manager or other permanent role within the business.
This is fast paced role that is involved in the delivery of some incredible events - Listen In, Eden Festival, Foo Fighters, Bunnings NPC and many more- so working hours will be flexible and will include nights and weekends where required.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating and inspiring your team to provide exceptional service to our clients and to get the best out of our people.
- Responsibility for delivering the event logistics on the day of event, this includes leading and being responsible of the staff and delivery of security for the event itself, as well as organizing the uniform and equipment needed pre event.
- Nurture and grow client and stakeholder relationships to create a high performing work environment.
- Constructively challenge current thinking and practice, offering new ideas, alternatives or improvements to existing products, services, and approaches
- Monitor and evaluate performance of working staff. Providing them with learning and progression opportunities.
What we require from you:
- Some experience in the events or security industry is great but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role coordinating staff in hospitality, expo or event support roles
- Holding a valid Green COA license will be advantageous but Red Badge can support you in obtaining one.
- Availability to work flexibility
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve where needed.
- Highly adaptable and have the ability to handle pressure in a fastpaced environment.
- Good communication skills and an ability to enforce expectations with staff and lead them in the right direction.
