About the role


This role is responsible for issuing parking related fines, educating the community on how to use our new parking machines as well as carrying out enforcement duties within the CBD.

There is a lot of walking involved and there will be some Saturday work required.

You will be supported by and working in a greater team of 6 people.


You'll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council's work.


Duties Include:

  • Issuing parking fines
  • Education to the community
  • Liaising with police and City Patrol
  • Engagement with the community

Skills & experience

  • Previous deescalation experience preferred, however, training provided
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer service
  • Current drivers license
Anyone from an enforcement background or practical security experience will suit this role.
