CoreVAS Engineer

Here's what you'll do in this job:

• Perform health checks, preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as required in the mobile Core Value Added Services space which provides Charging and Admission Control and Messaging functions to the Mobile Network.
• Implement, develop and optimise processes and procedures and explore automation to improve Network operational performance and efficiency.
• Perform impact and risk assessment on system changes including Software/Hardware Lifecycle Management.
• Install and evaluate Software Upgrades and patches.
• Analyse capacity, network resource loading and overall network performance using performance statistics.
• Respond to call outs as required to fix network faults.
• Coordinate with the Core Architect and Design team on related network activities as required.

An experienced System Engineer, ideally in the realm of mobile or ISP, you will have working knowledge of Linux, Unix and Oracle databases and will be well versed in ITIL frameworks.

A motivated self-starter, you won't be afraid of working in ambiguity and will be comfortable learning on the go. Your willingness to learn will see you through complex projects such as platform replacements and large scale upgrades.

You will be someone who enjoys working with constantly evolving technology and the fast paced change that comes along with it.
