You will be pivotal in supporting the restaurant to become a unique space, offering authentic Indonesian hospitality and service, one that is known for its fantastic service, fresh and delicious offerings and vibrant energy.


Your key duties and tasks will be:

  • Supervise all activities pertaining to employee relations, food production, sanitation, customer service.
  • Coordinate food production and services as directed by and in accordance with company's policy
  • Assist to monitor stock levels, control efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies including food, beverage and etc.
  • Monitor food and beverage costs, supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
  • Maintain files and submit reports including employee time and personnel records
  • Report employee grievances
  • Liaise between kitchen and restaurant staff to alleviate confusion and arguments
  • Assist in scheduling of personnel.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
General knowledge of Indonesia preferred - this may include a wide knowledge of Indonesian traditions, food culture, and stories.


At least 2 years experience in a similar role or alternatively hold a relevant certificate qualification in hospitality or business management discipline.

An understanding of legislations regarding Health and Safety, fire safety, food safety, NZ employment laws.

No prior criminal convictions.

Experience working in a high intensity role.

Experience working with restaurant POS is not a necessity but would be helpful.

Must be passionate about hospitality and being the best manager possible for customers and staff. Must have a demonstrated ability to coach team members.

Responsible, mature and punctual.

Work effectively autonomously and as part of a team with integrity. Commitment to training and upskilling a high performing team. Team building and leadership skills essential.

Outstanding guest focus and passion for the job.

A passion for excellence and achievement, flexibility around availability i.e. able to work, days, nights and weekends.
