About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems/Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. As we embark on the next phase of our hybrid multi-cloud journey, we need a professional who can seamlessly integrate AWS and Microsoft Server technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure, including both server-based and serverless technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support to the Service Desk, offering expert advice and operational support.
- Collaborate with architects to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring minimal business impact from technical decisions.
- Mentor and train technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
About You
You are a proactive and innovative thinker, always looking for opportunities to automate and improve services. Your commitment to high standards and ownership of systems and technologies will be crucial in supporting critical hospital operations, directly impacting patient outcomes.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience with AWS IaaS and serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, RDS, S3).
- In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (versions 2008 and newer).
- Proficiency in Windows Clustering and Active Directory management.
- Strong skills in scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell and Cloud Shell.
- Exceptional communication skills and a proven track record in mentoring and coaching.
- At least 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft technologies.
- Ability to produce precise and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Eagerness to upskill and adapt to modern technologies.
Certifications
The following certification requirements need to be met for the role. You should currently hold these certifications and they need to be issued within the last 2 years.
- AWS
o Cloud Practitioner (required)
o SysOps Administrator (desired)
o Solutions Architect (desired)
- Windows Server
