Purpose of the role:


If you are an energetic, creative, and dedicated individual with a heart for helping others, we have the perfect role You will work closely with our dedicated team to raise the essential funds required to fuel our impactful projects.

In this unique role you'll have the responsibility to

  • Secure financial funding by developing new major donor relationships, together with the ongoing stewardship of Blind Low Vision NZ's existing portfolio of major donors.
  • Identify and help cultivate relationships with South Island midvalue and bequest prospects.
  • Manage the effective delivery of events for bequestors, mid and major donors at venues across the South Island
  • Play a key part in achieving the Philanthropy team's donor engagement targets

What we are looking for:

To enable you to hit the ground running, we're looking for some who brings:

  • Excellent skills communicating fundraising needs; one to one, in writing and through verbal presentations
  • Experience of organising events and/or logistics
  • Strong computer skills including: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to connect with people at all levels and build genuine relationships to ensure that prospects and supporters become, and remain, fully engaged with our cause

You will need to have

  • 3 years strong administration experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a marketing discipline
  • Fundraising or marketing experience with high value donors, clients or partners
  • Full driver's licence
