Y Education is looking for a
fixed term part time tutor to work across our Education sites of Palmerston North, Whanganui & Dannevirke as required.


This position is a three month fixed term for 20 hours per week.

Tutors at Y Education change young lives on a daily basis through learning, influencing, and motivating rangatahi to reach their goals.

To be successful in the role you'll need excellent communication skills, high standards of integrity and an understanding of Te Ao Maori me ona Tikanga.

A full driver's licence is required and a strict attitude toward health and safety.

While tutoring experience is an advantage, we also value your skills and previous experience working with rangatahi. An understanding of adult learning and/or knowledge of NZ education standards will also be helpful in the role.


YMCA Taranaki is committed to Child Protection and the safeguarding of children and young people in our care and it is our expectation that all staff will operate in a way that reflects this intent.

As such we adhere to the requirements under the Vulnerable Children's Act, ie police vetting and references.

Part-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Part-time hours: 20 per week
