We are a local Thai Massage business in North Shore, Auckland. We are looking for
three experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.


We want to welcome friendly new team members who have a service mind and know how to work as a team.


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
  • A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
  • The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Perform duties according to the business standards and professionally
  • Perform prep work and restocking of rooms as required
  • Provide accuracy, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests
  • Assist with reception/reservation duties as required
  • Assist with general cleaning and tidying as required
  • Ensure hygiene and complies with occupation health and safety regulations
  • Establish longterm relationships with local clientele
  • Wellpresented and hand nails are to be trimmed regularly
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of products to assist with cost controls
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management
  • Be punctual
  • Great teamwork ethic
  • Be calm, pleasant, and courteous to promote relaxation to clients
  • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa
  • Handle guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention
  • Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings for the spa
  • Talk with clients about symptoms, medical history, and desired results
  • Evaluate clients to locate the painful or tense areas of the body
  • Consult with clients to identify appropriate massage services to promote relaxation, and improve circulation by relieving muscle tension
  • Manipulate muscles or other soft tissues of the body such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments, to assist healing by using the Thai massage technique
  • Employing other techniques as specifically required in the employer's business
  • Utilising a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury
  • Provide clients with guidance on stretching, strengthening, overall relaxation, and how to improve their posture

Other detail:

  • This is a fulltime and permanent position
  • Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
  • You will be working at Upstairs Unit B, 13 Clyde Road, Browns Bay, Auckland
  • We open from Monday to Saturday 9.30 am pm and Sunday 10.00 am pm. You will work according to a roaster 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours
