Who are we looking for?


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Final Trim Grader Operator to join our Gisborne team and help to deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

The job

In this role, you will be part of a team performing a wide range of construction activities including:

  • Safety improvements on local authority road networks in both urban and rural environments
  • Area wide pavement treatments and overlays including final trim
  • Subdivision pavement work
  • Shaping and trimming of batters
  • Ensuring high quality infrastructure projects are delivered to plan using your expert operator skills
Experience and attributes

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated team player.

Other essential skills and experience include:

  • Experience operating graders in a road construction environment is essential and 3D control would be beneficial
  • Proficient in operating Graders across a range of situations
  • Class 1 and 2 licences minimum and WTR endorsements is essential
  • Driven to achieve deadlines and goals
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of site safety and hazard management
  • Self-motivated, can do attitude and a team player
  • Excellent communication with co-workers and management
  • An unwavering commitment towards living safely with a safety record to match
