We are currently seeking to employ a Trainee Arboristto our Line Services team based at our Timaru depot.
In this role, you will attain New Zealand Certification in Horticulture (Arboriculture) levels 3 and 4 in order to be a certified Vegetation Controller, to provide an arborist/vegetation control trade's service to the Transmission Perimeter.
About the RoleCome join our amazing team in Timaru
Pruning, trimming, de-limbing and dismantling trees using a variety of methods and equipment, e.g. chainsaws.
Disposing of trimmed and felled vegetation by using appropriate equipment, e.g. brush chippers, grinders.
Completing required job documentation as required by the company or client.
Communicating with landowners on work to be performed as required.
Operating specialist vehicles in off-road environments to carry out vegetation work.
About you
An awareness of industry safety requirements.
Previous experience and aptitude for outdoor work.
A minimum of NZQA level 1 is desirable.
