The opportunity:


This role is responsible for providing guidance and advisory on risks and controls in operational risk-related areas such as distribution, regulatory compliance, financial and operational processes, and systems and information security.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing the operational risk and control framework and the policy governance framework
  • Drafting and maintaining AIA risk management policy and the underlying standards
  • Reviewing, challenging and reporting on the operational risk profile
  • Monitoring material incidents, risk indicators, control weaknesses and emerging operational risks
  • Developing enterprise governance, risk and compliance (EGRC) system to support key control functions' activities
  • Reviewing key initiatives, products and projects from a risk perspective to support business' strategic objectives.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Advanced technical risk management skills and experience
  • Superior relationship management skills
  • Advanced financial and insurance services knowledge & experience
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification (preferable).
