The opportunity
We have a great new opportunity for a Senior Set-up Supervisor to join the team.


In this role you will be supporting the overall delivery of events across Tātaki Auckland Unlimited, by supervising the Set-Up operations and our attendants within it.


Day-to-day you could expect to work on:

  • Ensure processes and procedures are established and followed to identify changing visitor and client expectations and satisfaction levels
  • Demonstrate consistent leadership through advocacy and clear communication of Auckland Live and Conventions strategic direction
  • Maintaining standards of venue presentations as set by the Venue Presentation Manager
  • Ensuring necessary administrative tasks/dataentry are complete and internal processes are followed
  • Allocate staff and produce rosters for the Event Setup Department
  • Maintain positive and collaborative working relationships internally and externally

About you

This role requires experience in similar supervisory roles, with a sound understanding of events.

No specific qualifications are required - but we will be looking for specific experience with:

  • Experience in leading a setup team, including the proven ability to delegate and manage 'through the team'
  • Demonstrated leadership skills at a Supervisor level
  • Experience with event setup, event safety and staff rostering
  • Experience in managing a large staff force with HR responsibilities
  • Experience in the use of EBMS (Electronic Business Management System) would be an advantage
