40 hours per week minimum

Hourly rate or Salary Band:
$29-31 per hour depending on experience. Start $29.70

We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Fixers and Metal Workers to join our dynamic team.

As a Steel Fixer and Metal Worker you will be responsible for fabricating bundles assembling and repairing steel tires and metal components.

This is a hands-on role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate metal packaging using steel rods for metal components according to specifications and blueprints for export. Hydraulic Compression.
  • Accurate processing of metals
  • Using Hand or Power tools to cut and bend bars mesh and other metal products.
  • Disassemble / Assemble and weld metal parts using various techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet industry standards for export
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise processing and improve efficiency
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment

Job Prerequisites

  • Previous experience as a Steel Fixer and Metals handler. Minimum 2years experience
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding
  • Gas Cutting
  • Strong knowledge of metal products (steel) and metalworking processes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Valid certifications in welding and metalworking are preferred
