The Small Fleet Manager is the face of our business to roughly small to medium sized enterprises across New Zealand.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders and collaborating closely with our retail team to provide excellent service.

This means you will be adapting yourself to each customer's needs and providing tailored fleet management services.

As the face of Ford New Zealand, your ability to network and provide excellent customer service will be the key to your success.

A typical day as a Small Fleet Manager will include;

  • Develop and implement operational and tactical plans to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Responsible for managing fleet upgrades requested by Dealers.
  • Work with Zone Managers to assist, develop and implement individual Dealer Planning Volumes, Dealer Objectives and Objective reviews.
  • Assist with monthly marketing and sales incentive meetings to provide feedback on the success and competitiveness of current programmes.
  • Develop and deliver monthly Small Fleet Sales reports (Excel)
  • Support Fleet team with Government sales from customer set up and quoting through to financial support and approval requests, including quarterly on catalogue submissions to MBIE.
  • Provide support to Large Fleet Manager to provide vehicles to rental companies, including working with accessory provides, coordinating shipping locations and after sales support.
  • Setup and develop analysis data for quarterly fleet/lease meetings with the major lease companies
  • Support the Consumer Experience team and company programs designed to improve the customer satisfaction performance of Dealers through the CVP programme.
  • Manage payment queries with offshore team and provide concurrence for payments
  • Support various field activities as directed by the National Sales Director. These activities could include Field days, product launch and training sessions, Dealer meetings, sponsorship related representation etc.
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate;

  • Previous experience as a Relationship Manager, Fleet Coordinator/Manager, Automotive Sales Manager, or similar.
  • Good communication and relationship building skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Analytical/numerical skills, able to coach others in the effective use of data, and data analysis.
  • Sound judgement and good problemsolving skills.
  • Welldeveloped computer skills (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • An interest or previous experience within Automotive Industry
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • A team player, able to collaborate cross functionally to drive win/win outcomes for the customer and the company
