About the Role:
Our Wairarapa based client in the roading and maintenance sector is seeking skilled Lead Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) to join their dynamic team.

As a Lead STMS, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of road users, pedestrians, and construction workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of up to 10 people.
  • Overseeing the safe setup of site/s before operations begin.
  • Troubleshooting potential health and safety incidents.
  • Completing daily site records and ensuring compliance.
  • Training Traffic Controllers to maintain high health and safety standards.
  • Assisting with site setup, coning, and signage.
  • Directing traffic flow.
  • Interacting with pedestrians to advise on safety and potential hazards.
  • Maintaining attention to detail and situational awareness.
What You Need:
  • Proven NZ STMS experience and certification (practising/non-practising).
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform job duties.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills.
  • Leadership qualities & skills.
  • Two contactable references.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
