Te āheinga | The opportunity


At Whakaata Māori, we embrace our role as a waka, driven by our passion to preserve and promote Māori stories, language, and culture.

We are looking for an amazing Multi-Platform producer to join our waka. The Multi-Platform Producer Mataora is to produce and oversee the production of content.

They will also manage and oversee creative and operational function of the TUKU rangatahi hub with effective management of TUKU team members to deliver engaging rangatahi content incorporating reo me ngā tikanga Māori.


He kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Contribution of content ideas to build audiences and achieve strategic objectives and milestones
  • Lead the TUKU team to ensure they continue to create amazing content that increase's yearly and guide the team with continued development
  • Ensure all content upholds the values of Whakaata Māori

He kōrero mōu ake | About you

  • Has experience managing a team
  • Have a good understanding of Social media
  • At least 78 years work experience across communications, marketing, broadcasting, or similar
  • Experience working with media, including comfort in responding to media inquiries.
  • Experience in planning and delivering multichannel communications, including videos and imagery
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Strong collaborator keen to work alongside others to achieve shared team goals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle pressure calmly
  • Content creation and writing experience on digital assets.
  • Ability to perform market research and know the target demographics of their Audience
  • Be a creative thinker who brings outofthebox ideas to the table. Love working in a fastpaced, fun, and collaborative environment
