Single Parent Services exist to empower families to reach their full potential. Our goals remain the same – we want an empowered community in which you are valued for the work that you're doing, and we want a community in which families led by one parent can thrive as powerfully as any other.

We are looking for a new Trustee to join us. You will be a part of a cohesive and dynamic Trust Board, and will meet monthly to guide the strategic direction of the organisation.

Requirements:

Must have a reasonable understanding of financial systems.
Experience and knowledge of Governance roles are preferred and that volunteers have an understanding of social inequalities and how they impact single parent families.
Must be able to communicate well with others and work in a diverse team.

A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Time commitment:

The board meets on the 3rd Monday of every month at 5:15pm. Meetings last 1-1.5 hours.
There will also be some reading of reports etc during the month.
