Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre provides treatment for 20 men who are living with the effects of severe mental illness with high and complex needs and who require a rehabilitation service to enable them to return to living in the community.

The service is regional which means that it accepts referrals from across the Auckland region who meet the criteria. Tamaki Oranga Recovery Centre incorporates a strengths based model and works collaboratively with service users and their family/whaanau.


We are looking for an experienced senior nurse with previous leadership and/or management experience to be a
Clinical Charge Nurse Manager.


Ideally, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with staff, service users and their family/whaanau and have excellent leadership skills.

Skills and experience working in mental health rehabilitation will be an advantage.


This is a great opportunity to utilise your clinical, leadership, teaching and therapeutic skills to make a significant difference to the lives of people in the Counties Manukau area.


Essential:

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years recent clinical experience in Mental Health
  • Post Graduate qualification in relevant clinical area or working towards it
  • Functioning at Expert/Proficient level on the PDRP
  • Extensive knowledge of mental illness and treatment interventions
  • Full & Clean NZ Driver's Licence
