About the role


As a Registered Nurse at Bowen Hospital, you will provide exceptional patient care in accordance with best nursing practices, company policies and in collaboration with the patient, their family/whānau and the wider healthcare team.


You will also:

- maintain all conditions associated with a current APC
- ensure knowledge and skills are current, relevant and applied to clinical practice
- work with multidisciplinary team members to provide a nursing perspective and to ensure the patient receives timely and appropriate care
- uphold patient/client rights, including privacy, confidentiality and informed consent
- support patients and their families/whānau by meeting clinical needs and establishing a sense of respect, security and trust.

This is a permanent position 48 hours per fortnight and is located at Bowen Hospital in Wellington.

About you


As a Registered Nurse, you will have well-developed communication skills and an ability to form professional working relationships with a wide range of people.


You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:

  • Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand/Te Kaunihera Tapuhi o Aotearoa
  • Relevant bachelor's degree or hospitalbased training
  • Holds a current annual practice certificate
  • Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high standard of service
  • A sound knowledge of the English language and grammar
  • Endoscopy experience is beneficial but not essential
