Join our groundbreaking NEW cultural multidisciplinary team of clinicians
(Ringa Atawhai), who will be dedicated to supporting mokopuna and whānau who are admitted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Starship.

You will be able to work together as a team, to assist whānau with wraparound services that ensure they have the best possible experience and outcomes.


As part of this dynamic team, you will also play a pivotal role in expanding the capacity and capability of our PICU workforce.

There will be opportunities for formal and informal teaching and education alongside supporting the team with cultural leadership and expertise.


Permanent role, FTE negotiable

  • Predominantly a Monday to Friday role with a need to be flexible to meet mokopuna and whānau needs
  • Based at Starship Hospital, Grafton, Auckland
  • This role reports to both TamaAriki Ora (Starship Māori Health) and Paediatric Consult Liaison Clinical Director

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity


The day-to-day mahi is a dynamic mix of working with mokopuna and whānau, raising the capability and capacity of PICU staff, and escalating systemic inequities.


Working amongst a team of dedicated Māori clinicians and Tangata Tiriti clinicians there will be opportunities for leadership and professional development.

As
Ringa Atawhai, you will also become part of TamaAriki Ora (Starship Māori Health) and will enjoy the added benefits of whanaungatanga, training and being part of a movement to protect the integrity of whakapapa and uphold the divinity of our mokopuna.
