Butchery Knifehand/Packer

Our client is a locally owned, family run business, based in the Harewood area. The butchery department of their business has both a retail and wholesale side. You would be part of helping both areas succeed.

The role is full time, with expected hours of 7.30am 4.00pm. This will include a weekend day, and some flexibility on availability is required at times.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Traying, packing, wrapping and labelling meat and seafood cuts.
  • Assisting in the production of sausages.
  • Filling and merchandising the meat and seafood cabinets.
  • Using your knife skills.
  • Assisting with customer queries.
  • Getting involved with the rest of the team to clean up.

To be successful you will be:

  • A team player, able to support and collaborate with the rest of the team.
  • Physically fit, as you are on your feet most of the day, and the role involves lifting and manual handling tasks.
  • Committed towards embracing all Health and Safety practices.
  • Excellent at time management, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Reliable & punctual.
