About the role

We're on the lookout for a talented Commis Chef with an appetite for delivering high quality food to feed our team and keep them going In this role you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting quality dishes to service our staff dining facility, as well as various other kitchen duties when required as directed by the senior Chef on shift.

You will also;

• Be a strong advocate for food safety and hygiene
• Ensure stock is controlled and rotated as required

This is a Part Time opportunity, working approx 24 hours per week including weekends, with the option to pick up additional shifts as & when they become available.

About you

It'll be your winning attitude, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure which will make you a great fit for SkyCity. You will demonstrate proven cookery techniques and a genuine passion for quality food, as well as having an eye for detail and taking great care and pride in your work.

To be successful in this role, you will also;

• Be a strong multitasker with great problem solving skills
• Be a team player who can collaborate and work to agreed targets and demands
• Have fantastic interpersonal skills and be a confident and clear communicator
• Be well presented with a high level of professionalism
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts
• Have (or be studying towards) a relevant culinary trade qualification
