About The Role:

Reporting to the Principal, the Bursar is a key contributing member of the Senior Leadership Team, leading a team of three and expected to be engaged in the full life of the College.

This role is responsible for:

• The College's overall financial management, risk, compliance, policies and the administration functions;
• The grounds, buildings, key assets and equipment;
• Being Secretary to the Board plus attending risk & audit committee meetings, preparing agendas, financial reports, budgets and minutes;
• The accounting requirements for the Trusts, monthly reports and annual financial statements;
• Contributing to the development of the annual strategic and business planning process.

Skills & Experience:

You will:

• Be known as a people person with a caring, empathetic and personable style;
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with a range of people;
• Have experience leading finance and administration functions, as well as facilities/asset management;Ideally have a basic understanding of employment legislation and experience with human resources functions such as employment contracts and performance reviews;
• Have proficient knowledge of office processes, policies, procedures and health & safety practices;
• Be known for excellent organisational skills and the ability to establish priorities and manage workload;
• Have a high level of initiative, working effectively without constant supervision, along with proven ability to remain calm, courteous and cope under pressure.

The ability to work effectively in a small and tight knit team, contributing to a caring and supportive environment will be essential for success.
