Sales and Administration Support Specialist - Great Journeys New Zealand


Great Journeys of New Zealand is embarking on transformational change on how we offer our unique experiences to the domestic and international travel market.


Your Role


The Sales & Administration Support Specialist primary function will be to support the GJNZ Contact & Travel Centre with sales, financial and administrative operations.

This role supports our sales and customer service team, enabling them to sell GJNZ products to our customers and agents.


Key duties:

  • Managing OTA (Online Travel Agent) rates & timetable booking (e.g. Viator)
  • Reporting: GJNZ Train capacity reports to our larger wholesale agents
  • Managing Agent accounts in the GJNZ trains booking system
  • Agent famil bookings
  • Create and match POs and invoices
  • Load invoices, credit notes and adjustments
  • Credit card refunds, fee calculations and invoices
  • Reconciling bookings with payments including booking system adjustments
  • Confirm activity supplier invoicing & payments, liaising with Accounts department as required.
  • Enter all rates into booking system (Tours and Packages)
  • Create and match POs and invoices
  • Load invoices, credit notes and adjustments
  • Credit card refunds, fee calculations and invoices
  • Reconciling bookings with payments including booking system adjustments

Your Skills

  • 2+ years' experience in administration and/or travel industry experience.
  • A track record of delivering a high level of customer service, processes and systems, ideally in front line role.
  • Sales skills.
  • Tech savvy
  • Knowledge of New Zealand's key tourism destinations and visitor activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Excellent organisation skills and able to multitask
  • Minimum Level 3 NCEA
  • Sound practical and theoretical knowledge in area of specialisation.
