Neurosurgery and Neurology?
B8 / NPCU is a busy, acute
ward caring for patients with neurological conditions including; brain tumours,
head injuries, spinal tumours, movement disorders and seizures. As the largest
inpatient neuroscience facility in the South Island it is a busy medical and surgical
environment caring for a complex patient group with a diverse range of
neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
We have an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse
to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Currently working as a senior
nurse, your passion and clinical expertise in this area will place you
perfectly as a specialist resource for the team, providing valuable support and
education to new and existing staff and nursing students. A confident
communicator, you will easily establish quality relationships and ensure
exceptional ongoing service delivery for our service users.
- This role will see you:
leadership in clinical practice.
Acting as a
resource for new and existing staff, and students.
Assist the Charge
Nurse Manager to continue the nursing education focus in pursuit of clinical
excellence.
Promoting nursing
research and evidence based practice.
We are looking
for someone who is committed and passionate to succeed in this role and who as a positive role
model will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure
high standards of care and improved patient outcomes are attained.
