Knowledge of water safety and/or aquatic background are advantageous.

You will lead the management and coordination of the Northland Water Safe initiative, with a primary focus on instilling water safety competencies as essential life skills for tamariki.

The primary function of this role is to: Coordinate the delivery of the Top Energy Water Safe and Northland Water Safe programmes Facilitate the integration of the Water Safety New Zealand Kaiako Led initiative into Northland's primary and intermediate schools Support the seasonal team of Water Safe Kaiārahi and contractors Ideally you will have: Experience in coordinating and organising programmes on a large scale Evaluation and monitoring skills Experience in supporting a small team Experience in delivering sport, recreation or teaching tamariki Have a can-do attitude and be willing to jump in where needed Advantageous skills and knowledge include: A background in water safety and/or aquatics An understanding of working in the education/school space An understanding of He Whakaputanga and giving effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Training in the Water Skills For Life competencies and the Northland Wate Safety programme can be provided for the right candidate.

The candidate will need a restricted or full, clean driver's license and must have the right to live and work in New Zealand and must value healthy lifestyles.
