Maintenance Planner:

About the Role:


A key objective of the role is to ensure maintenance activities are carried out efficiently to ensure the cost effective delivery of targeted plant uptime and output performance.

Typically this will be achieved by the use of detailed activity planning to meet the critical path task duration for planned shuts.

This includes shutdown, R&M activities and start-up (i.e. from in-spec product to in-spec product).

The maintenance planner will ensure that all approved job notifications, preventative and predictive maintenance activities (both statutory and non-statutory) are scheduled accurately and efficiently to meet available machine time, planned costs, spares, materials and people resources in a cost and time effective manner.

Day to day work list prioritisation and preparation also forms part of the planning function aimed at improving maintenance crew effectiveness.

The Maintenance Planner has direct responsibility for SAP CMMS system maintenance at the RST level.
This includes work history inputting, managing job close-offs, tracking and managing rotables and overall file maintenance.


The Maintenance Planner will support the continuous improvement initiatives to deliver equipment runnability & reliability that supports maximum productivity and a reduction in defective goods & costs in line with world class maintenance & engineering principles and practices.

The Maintenance Planner is actively involved in delivering the strategies for the manufacturing unit's personnel and equipment and is required to work very closely with the other RST disciplines as well as the supporting service disciplines in order to ensure the area delivers its business plan and targets

Who You Are:

Qualifications, and Training

  • Trades, planning/scheduling background
  • SAP Enterprise & Maintenance Program.
  • Industrial site experience.
  • Organisation skills.
  • Maintenance or project planning experience.

Experience

  • The incumbent will have a minimum of 5 years' experience gained in a high volume 24/7 production environment, preferably within an FMCG company.
  • Substantial experience in planning operational maintenance functions and supporting world's best maintenance practice in parallel with significant cultural changes.

Desirable

  • Tertiary level Engineering. (NZCE, BE, BTech.)
  • HSE&R, ISO Standards, Pulp and paper process knowledge.
