Our client seeks a Geotechnical Engineer, to be an integral part of their team, providing expert geotechnical guidance and solutions to support their clients' projects.

You will conduct site investigations, analyze soil and rock mechanics, and develop geotechnical design recommendations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive geotechnical investigations, including site visits, drilling, sampling, and testing.
  • Analyze soil and rock properties to evaluate geotechnical characteristics and behaviors.
  • Perform geotechnical calculations and analyses to develop design recommendations and solutions.
  • Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including feasibility studies, technical assessments, and engineering project recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to integrate geotechnical considerations into project designs and plans.
  • Provide geotechnical expertise and support during project planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Conduct slope stability analyses, foundation design, and ground improvement assessments.
  • Assess and mitigate geotechnical risks associated with engineering projects.
  • Utilize industryleading geotechnical software and tools for data analysis, modeling, and design.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest advancements, research, and industry best practices in geotechnical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, preferably in a consultancy or engineering firm.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation methods, laboratory testing procedures, and geotechnical analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar.
  • Experience in slope stability analysis, foundation design, and ground improvement techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present geotechnical data effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Detailoriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure is preferred.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional client service.
