About the role

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and deliver library services focussing on tauira and kaimahi needs.
  • Lead promotion and assist tauira in utilising TWoA online platforms.
  • Plan, develop and deliver information literacy modules and workshops.
  • Contribute to projects supporting teaching, learning and rangahau.
  • Contribute to executing the Takiwā library plan.
  • Participate in the review cycle and assessment of the library services. Build strong internal and external relationships.

About you


We are looking for an enthusiastic and a forward-thinking professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning.

Your ability to foster inclusivity and respect for āhuatanga Māori, coupled with leadership qualities, will ensure a seamless experience for our tauira and kaimahi.


You will also bring with you:

  • A degree in Library and Information Management (preferably master's level)
  • Certificate in Adult Teaching preferred
  • Registered member of the Library and Information Profession ELIANZA
  • Full New Zealand Drivers' License preferred
  • 4+ years professional library experience, including special library/tertiary education experience. 4+ years' experience using electronic databases.


As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
